What’s confirmed about the Taylor Swift wedding

Three things are public knowledge.

The engagement was announced on Instagram on 26 August 2025. The post showed Swift and Kelce in a flower garden, with the caption “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” It earned a million reposts in under six hours and broke Instagram’s previous record, according to Rolling Stone and the Hollywood Reporter. Travis’s father, Ed Kelce, told ABC News 5 Cleveland the proposal had happened around two weeks earlier, placing it in mid-August 2025.

The engagement ring is real and visible. Swift wore it in the Instagram announcement post and at every public appearance since. The maker, Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, has spoken on the record to Today and JCK about designing the ring with Travis Kelce.

This is a first marriage for both. Taylor Swift has never been married. Travis Kelce has never been married. There are no prior spouses or step-children to factor into the planning.

What’s been reported but not yet confirmed

The most-cited date is Saturday 13 June 2026, first reported by Page Six in late 2025. Ocean House issued a statement to TMZ in December 2025 saying it had a wedding booked for that weekend but it was not for Taylor Swift, and that no permits had been filed with the town of Westerly. As recently as April 2026, a wedding planner working that weekend told local Rhode Island station WJAR that the bride at Ocean House on 13 June is not Taylor Swift.

A separate set of reports points to 3 July 2026 in New York City. Entertainment insider Rob Shuter, cited by Heavy and Reality Tea in early May 2026, claims the ceremony will be at Swift’s combined SoHo apartment compound, which is reported to span four units and around 8,300 square feet. Heavy and the IBTimes have also floated a “decoy” theory: a large public-facing celebration at one location to draw attention, paired with a smaller private ceremony at another, to defeat stalkers and paparazzi.

The venue therefore remains genuinely uncertain. Ocean House is the most-cited single name, but the venue itself has denied a Swift booking on the record.

The dress designer has not been named publicly. WWD ran sketches from a panel of designers in late 2025. Sources Marie Claire spoke to in spring 2026 said the dress was “almost here”, but no designer has confirmed the commission.

The guest list is reportedly capped at around 150. Total Pro Sports, citing leaked details, lists Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Emma Stone among the bridesmaids, and Patrick and Brittany Mahomes among the confirmed Chiefs guests. None of these names has been confirmed by the people involved.

Why the carat range is so wide: an old mine cushion is a chunky, deep cut. Without the actual stone on a scale, jewellers reading the photos disagree by a factor of two on the weight. The lower 4-7ct estimates assume a deeper pavilion. The 10-12ct estimates assume a shallower stone with a wider face-up footprint.

Why the ring matters for the wider market: jewellers across the US and UK reported a sharp spike in old mine cushion enquiries in the weeks after the announcement, according to Music Times and Natural Diamonds. Yellow gold and antique cuts were already trending in 2025, but the Swift ring has been the single strongest accelerant for both. Artifex has since launched a bridal capsule with Sotheby’s, with Lubeck telling JCK that demand has reshaped the studio’s order book for 2026.

Why Ocean House is the rumoured venue

Ocean House is a grand five-star resort on the Atlantic shoreline at Watch Hill, Rhode Island. It is one of only fourteen properties worldwide to hold both a AAA Five Diamond rating and a triple Forbes Five-Star award. The hotel sits on a clifftop above a private beach, with a Federalist-style yellow facade, a private croquet lawn, and a 49-room main building that is small enough to take over.

The Swift connection is geographic. Swift owns High Watch, her Rhode Island house, in the same Watch Hill village. The drive from her front door to the Ocean House lawn is around five minutes. The location lets her use her own home as a getting-ready base and pre-wedding compound, with the formal ceremony and reception staged at a venue built for high-security private events.

The case against Ocean House is the venue itself. Ocean House’s Stephanie Leavitt told TMZ on the record that the hotel “would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date.” The story that Swift had bought out another bride for 13 June 2026 has been denied by both the venue and, according to local Rhode Island reporting, by the wedding planner working that weekend. None of which rules out a different Ocean House date later in the summer.

A multi-dress wedding is also possible. Marie Claire and TaylorSwiftStyle have both reported that more than one designer is in play, with separate gowns for the ceremony, the reception and the after-party. Swift used three or more outfit changes per night on the Eras Tour, and modern celebrity brides routinely commission a coordinating set across two or three houses.

Guest list speculation

The guest list cap most often cited is 150. That number is small for a couple of Swift and Kelce’s public profile, and it implies a hard editor on both sides. Three groups dominate the rumoured list.

The Eras Tour inner circle. Selena Gomez has been a Swift best friend for over a decade and is reported to be a bridesmaid. Gigi Hadid and Brittany Mahomes are the other most-cited bridesmaid names. The Kansas City Chiefs.
